Collection
This collection seeks to fuse classic elegance and modern sophistication, evoking the soft tones of local architecture, the green nuances of its landscapes and the dynamism of its urban life.
Each piece is a tribute to the harmonious combination of tradition and modernity that defines Namur, inviting the wearer to explore their own sense of style with a touch of Belgian romanticism.
The new fashion collection, inspired by the charming city of Namur in Belgium, captures the essence of its rich history, natural beauty and vibrant contemporary culture.
Namur, with its picturesque cobblestone streets, majestic citadel and the serene meeting of the Meuse and Sambre rivers, offers a visual and emotional landscape that is reflected in each garment.
One of the most recent and striking additions to this historic site (La citadelle) is the monumental sculpture of a turtle created by Belgian artist Jan Fabre. Unveiled in 2015, the work titled “Searching for Utopia” features a giant turtle with a rider sitting on its back, which is a representation of Fabre himself. The sculpture, made of bronze, is a centerpiece of contemporary art in the citadel and has captured the imagination of residents and tourists alike.
Fabre’s tortoise symbolizes patience, wisdom and longevity, qualities that contrast and complement the military history of the citadel. The rider on the turtle suggests a continuous search for ideals, a journey toward a utopian “better place.” This work invites viewers to reflect on the balance between speed and slowness, war and peace, antiquity and modernity.
In addition to being a striking work of art, the turtle sculpture has become a symbol of Namur, attracting visitors from all over the world. Tourists come to the citadel not in the sun.
That is why we decided to create two designs inspired by the turtle in search of utopia.
The Petit Tortoise sweater, a repeating pattern of turtles woven in gold lurex. And, the Tortoise sweater, which is the largest turtle designed and placed across the entire front of the sweater. Let us highlight that colors and brightness in garments are a strong trend that will enter the year 2025.
