Which is my size?
- Put a garment on a flat surface like a table or your bed. (Measurements will not be correct if the garment is not fully extended).
- Use a measuring tape that could be a plastic one (like the dressmaker or tailor use).
- Write down your measurements.
Sleeve Lenght
- Lay the garment on a flat surface. should be fully extended.
- Measure the entire length of the sleeve as shown in the picture.
- Measure the distance between the seam where it is attached to the shoulder and the desired position of the cuffs. This measurement must be taken in a straight line.
Shoulder to Shoulder
- Lay the garment on a flat surface, it should be fully extended.
- Measure the distance across the shoulder as shown in the picture. The measurement should be made between the shoulder seams.
Bust
- Lay the garment on a flat surface, it should be fully extended.
- Measure the chest width between the side-to-side seams of the garment, as shown in the image.
Waist Width
- Lay the garment on a flat surface, it should be fully extended.
- The waist is where this part of the body is narrowest, usually an inch or two above the belly button.
Total Lenght
- Lay the garment on a flat surface, it should be fully extended.
- The distance is measured from the shoulder seam, from the highest point of the shoulder to the end of the garment, the hem.
